the Artist: Shawn has had no formal training but is an award-winning
artist that creates feel good paintings that are associated with pieces
and parts of his life. Many of his subjects are from pictures of family
and friends. More examples of his work are available at www.cscwoods.com
. Woods began painting after being diagnosed with Early Onset Parkinsons
Disease. He has been most influenced by his Famous Artist Grandfather, William
Cumming. His Grandfather is Nationally and Internationally known, and has
been a professional painter for over 60 years. Cumming taught at the Cornish
Art Institute in Seattle, and the Seattle Art Institute. He is the last
surviving member of the ''The Northwest School'', and is associated with
the big four in Northwest Art History- Morris Graves, Mark Tobey, Guy Anderson
and Kenneth Callahan.
